After spending a substantial amount of time testing Wiley CIAexcel, I found what really makes this course shine is of course their multiple choice test bank.
They currently offer over 5,000 practice questions which is unheard of in the CIA review course industry.

However unlike it's direct competitor Gleim CIA, I found Wiley CIAexcel to be lacking in terms of providing direction in how you should study for this exam. (ie it does not include any video lectures)
Now this is NOT to say Wiley CIAexcel isn't for you because it has a lot to offer at it's super affordable price.

After digging into the Wiley CIAexcel's review course I want to break down each feature for you so that you can fully understand what you will receive when you invest in this course.

Wiley CIAexcel's dashboard is very structured and for each study unit you will follow the same 3 study steps to ensure you fully grasp the material before moving onto the next study unit.

Wiley CIAexcel Review offers by far the most practice questions of any review course (just over 5,000).
Not only do they provide you with thousands of multiple choice questions, but Wiley CIAexcel also provides you with detailed explanations for each question so that you can learn from each question.
This is crucial because it's one thing to get a question right or wrong and another to actually understand WHY a question is right or wrong.
You can also flag questions for later review if you don't understand a certain topic etc...
Even more important than the number of multiple choice offered is how Wiley CIAexcel tracks your progress.
Without knowing what areas you are scoring weaker vs stronger you won't know where to spend your time.
This is where Wiley CIAexcel's advanced analytics come in.
They give you real time updates on how well you are doing by domain.

Now it should be noted that the analytics do not breakdown into any sub-topics which isn't entirely helpful compared to the analytics breakdown you would get from Gleim CIA or Fast Forward Academy.
So for example in the screenshot below Part 1 is split into 3 categories and unfortunately you can't break down your results any further.
But you can create custom practice exams based on questions you have missed or have not answered yet.
You can also flag any question that you don't understand which is also helpful.
I also noted that the explaination don't tie back to the textbook yet.

After doing a taking Wiley CIAexcel for a spin, I can't recommend using Wiley CIAexcel as your ONLY CIA review course.
The analytics are too limited to be useful at this time and the lack of video lectures will make it difficult for beginner CIA candidates to stay focused and productive.
